In August of 2008, I convened the first National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas.  Many important recommendations were made at this groundbreaking Summit, including President Clinton’s challenge to Nevada to become a national leader by putting our vast renewable energy resources to work and achieving energy independence.  Because I share that vision, I created a Blue Ribbon Panel that focuses on the steps we must take to move Nevada toward a clean energy future.

The Blue Ribbon Panel is comprised of policymakers, experts, industry leaders, representatives of both business and labor, Democrats and Republicans who are all committed to charting a course to energy independence and creating jobs and sustainable economic growth for Nevada.
