Reid Unveils Senate Health Care Bill
November 18, 2009 - Nevada Senator Harry Reid unveiled the Senate health care bill that makes health care more affordable while reducing the federal deficit. Discussing a Nevada parent's struggle to cover his young child's hospital bills, Reid said, "We can't afford to overlook what this is really all about. More accurately, we can't afford to overlook who this is all about." This bill will cut the deficit by $130 billion, extend coverage to more than 94% of Americans and insure 31 million more of the uninsured.
