Nevada Senator Harry Reid yesterday honored President John F. Kennedy on the 50th anniversary of his inauguration in 1961. The 45th president was honored in an official tribute in the Rotunda of the United States Capitol today, where Vice President Joe Biden and congressional leaders joined Reid. Reid invoked President Kennedy's message of cooperation that remains as applicable today as it did half a century ago.

He also addressed how the legacy of the space program's discoveries have impacted Nevada, specifically the role that solar energy technology is playing to create good paying jobs across the state.
