Nevada Senator Harry Reid today discussed the Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure (CARD) Act and how it will protect Nevada consumers from abusive practices by credit card companies. Reid worked to pass the bill last year -- it goes into effect today. This bill "We're reigning in credit card companies that have taken advantage of their customers," said Reid. "This bill will strengthen oversight of this industry and save families thousands of dollars each year."
