Reid Highlights Economic Importance of Protecting Lake Tahoe

Nevada Senator Harry Reid testified today before Congress in support of the Lake Tahoe Restoration Act of 2009. Reid is the lead sponsor of this legislation. The bill is designed to protect Lake Tahoe and the Tahoe Basin from threats such as invasive species and wildfires while restoring Lake Tahoe's water clarity and protecting threatened species and wildlands. "Lake Tahoe is both a natural wonder and a critical part of Nevada's economy," said Reid.
