Nevada Senator Harry Reid today spoke on the floor of the U.S. Senate about the need to urgently pass a short-term extension of unemployment insurance and COBRA benefits. Reids remarks were followed by a unanimous consent request to pass the extension and that request was again objected to by Sen. Bunning (R-KY). This objection marked the 10th time Republicans, led by Sen. Bunning, blocked the effort.
