Nevada Senator Harry Reid today joined President Barack Obama at the White House as he signed into law the HIRE Act, the jobs bill Reid led to passage in the Senate.  This bill will provide tax cuts to hire workers, allow small businesses to write-off the cost of major purchases, extend funding for transportation and infrastructure projects, and make it more affordable for local governments to finance work on courthouses, schools and public safety buildings. "Passing the HIRE Act was important but it is just one step toward getting our country back on its feet."
