Nevada Senator Harry Reid began National Police Week by memorializing James Manor, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Officer who last week lost his life in a tragic car accident while responding to an emergency call. Reid related Manor’s sacrifice to that of all peace officers who put their lives on the line to keep our streets safe and our country secure. “National Police Week is a time to recognize the service and sacrifice of law enforcement personnel, especially those who lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others,” Reid said. “As we pause and reflect on the valor of Officer Manor, let us also remember the many other peace officers who gave their lives, as well as those who continue working each day to keep our streets safe and our country secure.” To read Senator Reid’s statement on National Police Week please click here.
