Nevada Senator Harry Reid today discussed the importance of the Supplemental Appropriations Bill. "We have almost 1,000 troops from Nevada serving in Iraq and Afghanistan," said Reid. "We cannot let those troops down." The Supplemental bill provides funding for the troops, addresses the swine flu outbreak, and more.

Senator Reid affirmed his commitment to our men and women serving overseas. "It's important to Nevada and our country that they have everything they need," he said.

In addition to providing funding to the troops, the Supplemental Appropriations Bill will address the swine flu outbreak by working to secure the president’s request of $1.5 billion for pandemic preparedness and response.

The bill also includes funding for military construction, border security, aircraft, weapons, vehicles and force protection.
