Nevada Senator Harry Reid today met with Judge Sonia Sotomayor, President Barack Obama’s nominee to fill the United States Supreme Court seat currently held by retiring Justice David Souter. Reid endorsed Judge Sotomayor and will now work to quickly confirm her in the Senate. Sotomayor is an accomplished and qualified nominee whose real-world experience and understanding of the law will serve Nevadans well. Once confirmed, she will be the first Hispanic to serve on the Supreme Court.
