Last week Nevada Senator Harry Reid welcomed President Obama to Las Vegas to discuss Reid's efforts to bring jobs back to Nevada and get the state's economy moving in the right direction. "It's an understatement to say that Nevada's being tested economically like never before," said Reid. "We have to put Nevadans back to work and get our economy back on track. And we have a lot fighting ahead of us but a lot of fight left in us." Obama, too, acknowledged the tough times Nevada is facing, but praised Reid's leadership on issues such as clean energy.
