Nevada Senator Harry Reid and Energy Secretary Steven Chu announced that more than $90 million in funds for geothermal energy projects is coming to Nevada. This funding is expected to create more than 1,110 jobs in the Silver State and support the goal of making Nevada the leader in clean energy. “When this is finished, we’ll be producing more electricity by geothermal than is produced by [the] Hoover Dam,” said Reid.
