As the U.S. Senate continues debating legislation to reform our nation’s broken health care system, Nevada Senator Harry Reid discussed the importance of World AIDS Day and raising awareness of HIV/AIDS.  Every year on December 1st, we take the opportunity to increase awareness of the global AIDS epidemic.  The Department of Health and Human Services estimates that more than one million Americans are living with HIV and one-fourth of them don’t know they are infected.  On this World AIDS Day, Reid is urging all Nevadans who might be at risk to see their doctor and get tested.
