Reid Swears In Ferc Commissioner Wellinghoff for a Second Term

Washington, DC – Nevada Senator Harry Reid today swore in Jon Wellinghoff, who will serve on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), during a ceremony in the U.S. Capitol.

“I’m pleased Jon will serve a second term as a FERC Commissioner,” Reid said.  “He will continue addressing the energy problems facing Nevada and the rest of our nation.  I’m a strong supporter of Jon because of his work to enhance energy efficiency and promote renewable energy.”
 
The FERC Commission oversees electric transactions and interstate electric transmission and gas transportation in the United States.
 
Wellinghoff received his JD from Antioch School of Law, Washington, D.C., M.A.T. from Howard University, Washington, D.C. and BS at University of Nevada, Reno, Nevada in 1971.
