Hundreds of thousands of Nevada seniors rely on Social Security each month to pay their bills and put food on the table. But Washington Republicans are playing an unconscionable and dangerous game of chicken with the benefits we’ve promised to seniors.

If we default on our financial obligations, more than 400,000 seniors could lose out on the benefits they depend on. That’s why I will continue working to ensure that not a single Nevadan misses out on his or her Social Security check and that we do not default on our nation’s financial obligations.

Here is a breakdown by county showing how many seniors could lose their benefits in the case of a default:
