 Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid made the following remarks today regarding Republicans’ willingness to risk our economy to protect tax breaks for oil companies and corporate jets:

“The talk in Washington, as it should be, is about cutting our deficit. But to do so we have to deal with some hard truths. But my Republican friends seem to be living in a fantasy world.

Our Republicans don't seem to care about the consequences to middle class Americans. They care more about protecting the tax breaks for oil companies, companies that ship jobs overseas, even people who own corporate jets and yachts.”
