Reid To Host Tele-Town Hall With Nevadans On Health Insurance Reform

August 17, 2009

Washington, D.C. -- Nevada Senator Harry Reid will host another tele-town hall on August 28th with small business owners, healthcare providers, seniors, and any other Nevadans interested in voicing their opinions and asking questions about health insurance reform.

“I’m pleased to announce that we’re holding another tele-town hall on this important issue,” Reid said. “Not only does this format allow us to reach far more people all over the state than a single town hall, it also provides a respectful environment where all sides can be heard.”

The system works by dialing thousands of homes in Nevada informing them that Sen. Reid will be hosting a tele-town hall on health care and other issues important to Nevada. Those interested in joining can do so simply by pushing a button, however, Sen. Reid will also give people the opportunity to add their number to the list on his Web site a few days prior to the event.

An additional line will be provided for reporters who would like to listen to the call. That number will be provided prior to the event.
