Washington, DC — Nevada Senator Harry Reid made the following statement today after President Obama nominated Dana Bilyeu to the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board:

“I was happy to recommend to President Obama that he nominate a fellow Nevadan, Dana Bilyeu to the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board.  No one is more qualified for this job than Dana. Dana currently services as the Executive Officer of the Nevada Public Employees’ Retirement System managing $21 billion in funds, making recommendations and planning for the retirement savings of Nevada’s public employees.  She also served as Nevada’s Deputy Attorney General.  I congratulate Dana and look forward to working with her as she takes this next step in her already impressive career.”
