Reid Honors Nevada Soldier

Senator Reid honored Major Sean Passmore and his family at his Welcome to Washington constituent breakfast on Thursday.

Washington, D.C.- Nevada Senator Harry Reid honored Major Sean Passmore of Las Vegas at his Welcome to Washington constituent breakfast on Thursday. Reid presented an American flag, which was flown over the Capitol, to Major Passmore to commemorate his two decades of outstanding military service. Major Passmore is currently active duty in the United States Army and will assume command of the 1st Presidential Communications Command in February. He was joined by his wife Mary and their children Devin, Raquel and Miranda during the ceremony held at the United States Capitol.

“Bravery and fortitude define Nevada’s soldiers and veterans,” said Reid. “Major Sean Passmore’s impressive leadership and enduring patriotism during his distinguished career exemplify these principles. Those of us in the Silver State are very proud of Major Passmore's two decades of military service."

Major Passmore said, “I’d like to express my gratitude to Senator Reid for recognizing my family in Washington. It was an honor for all of us to be there. I’m very proud to be a soldier from Nevada.”
