Reid Meets With Human Rights Campaign Nevada Representatives

Nevada Senator Harry Reid met with representatives of Human Rights Campaign Nevada.

Washington, D.C.- Nevada Senator Harry Reid met Thursday with Nevada representatives of the Human Rights Campaign to discuss anti-bullying and anti-discrimination measures that would impact the LGBT community. In particular, the group discussed ways to prohibit employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity and ways to protect LGBT students from bullying, harassment, and discrimination in elementary and secondary schools.

“I have fought hard to make sure all Nevadans are given fair treatment in the workplace and in school,” said Reid. “I was pleased to meet with Human Rights Campaign representatives from Nevada, and I look forward to working with them in the future to ensure we bring an end to employment discrimination and bullying in our schools.”
