 Washington, DC—Nevada Senator Harry Reid made the following statement today after President Obama nominated Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to be Secretary of Health and Human Services:
 
“Gov. Sebelius will bring to President Obama’s Cabinet her strong commitment to improving health care for all Americans.  She is an extraordinary leader who does not let partisanship get in the way of doing what is right, and Americans will benefit from Sebelius’ many years of experience as her state’s governor and insurance commissioner.  I look forward to confirming Gov. Sebelius as quickly as possible so she can begin the important work of ensuring all Americans have quality, affordable health coverage; preventing disease; and reducing health disparities.”
