March 9, 2012 Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid issued the following statement after the Labor Department’s jobs report showed the economy added 227,000 jobs in February, a stronger gain than forecast. The Department of Labor revised job gains for January upward to 284,000 jobs. The last six months of job growth have been the strongest since 2006. “Today's news is encouraging, but with many families in Nevada and across the nation still struggling, creating jobs must remain Congress' top priority. ###
