Senator seeks to help Nevadans make the most of more than $1.5 billion in stimulus funding dedicated to Silver State March 31, 2009 Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid announced today he will host a seminar designed to help Nevadans take advantage of more than $1.5 billion in stimulus funding he acquired for the state in the recently passed economic recovery package. The seminar will be held Thursday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. “We want to make it as simple and straightforward as possible for every Nevadan to have the opportunity to take part in this money,” Reid said. “There are hundreds of programs included in the economic recovery package, and this seminar will make it easier to get the funding for them into the hands of those who need it quicker and more efficiently.” # # #
