Washington, DC— Nevada Senator Harry Reid met with students from Foothill High School in his Washington, D.C. office this week.  More than a dozen students from the Henderson high school were visiting the city as part of a national program that brings students from across the country to Washington to learn about our nation’s capitol.

“It was a pleasure to meet with these impressive students and about the importance of participating in our democratic process,” Reid said. “These aspiring teachers, nurses, engineers and entrepreneurs are the future of Nevada.  I will continue fighting to ensure Nevada schools like Foothill High School have the resources and tools necessary to help make their dreams a reality.”

The students were visiting through the Close Up Foundation, a non-profit organization that brings students from across the country to Washington, DC to learn about the operations of the U.S. government.
