Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid announced that Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Great Basin National Park and Death Valley National Park will not charge for admission during National Park Week, happening April 21th – 29th.

“Nevada’s National Parks showcase the very best of our state’s beauty,” said Reid. “During National Park Week, Nevada’s majestic landscapes, mountains and forests will be open to the public, free of charge. I encourage all Nevadans to visit our National Parks in the coming days with family and friends.”

National Park Week in Nevada will include family friendly activities and special offers. Lake Mead National Recreation Area and Death Valley National Park normally charge entrance fees, but will provide free access to the public. Nevada’s Great Basin National Park, designated by Senator Reid in 1986, is open to the public with no entrance fee year-round.
