April 27, 2010 Washington, DC – Nevada Senator Harry Reid today made the following statement on A-Power’s search for a Nevada location to build their wind turbine production and assembly facility, which will supply wind turbines for projects in North and South America. “I commend A-power, their partners and supporters for moving forward with a project that will put more than 1,000 Nevadans back to work and help our nation in its effort to achieve energy independence,” Reid said. “I encouraged A-Power to come to Nevada because our tax friendly business environment and abundance of clean energy resources make our state the perfect place for them to do business. If we play our cards right, this project will be just one of many more to come.”
