Reid Meets With Wooster High School Students

Senator Harry Reid met Tuesday with students and teachers from Wooster High School’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program in Reno

Washington, D.C.- Nevada Senator Harry Reid met Tuesday with students from the Wooster High School Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program participating in a Close Up trip to Washington, D.C. to discuss civic education and participation. The students were joined by Sheryl Whitehead and April Ortiz-Cloninger, teachers at Wooster High School. The student group was composed of students and chaperones from the deaf program at Wooster High.

“I was pleased to meet with Wooster High School students participating in the Close Up program,” said Reid. “Close Up plays an important role in providing students with leadership and citizenship educational experiences, and I know these young people will continue to be model citizens and active participants in government.”
