Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid released the following statement today after Las Vegas was named the number-one destination for trade shows in North America for the 16th consecutive year:

“Las Vegas has taken great strides to provide the best environment for people to do business and it’s why it has remained the top business destination for hundreds of thousands of Americans every year,” Reid said.  “Trade shows boost our economy by generating $4.5 billion in revenue and leading to the creation of 46,000 local jobs.  Between business and leisure travel to Las Vegas, the gaming industry will continue to rebound from the recession and create jobs for Nevadans, especially as the Travel Promotion Act brings more visitors in the coming years.”
