Reid Introduced Bill In 2010 & 2011 To Put An End To Gravel Pit Near Henderson June 19, 2012 Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid and Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak announce that Cemex, one of two companies that have applications for the Sloan Hills gravel pit, is no longer pursuing the gravel pit. Senator Reid introduced a bill in 2010 and 2011 to stop a major proposed gravel operation near Henderson that threatened the health and safety of local residents. Attached is the letter from Cemex to Commissioner Sisolak announcing their decision. ###
