 Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid today released the following statement after the passing of former MGM Mirage CEO Terry Lanni:

“I was very sad to learn of Terry Lanni’s passing.  Not only was he a pleasure to work with but he was a close friend to me and my entire family.  No one understood Las Vegas like Terry.  His unique knowledge of the gaming and hotel business helped the city catch fire and become the world’s premier tourist destination it is today.  My thoughts are with his wife, Debbie, and his sons Sean and Patrick.  Nevada is a better place because of Terry Lanni and he will be sorely missed.”
