Reid Announces More Than $4.5 Million in Economic Recovery Funding for Community and Economic Development

Funds will create new jobs for Nevadans and revitalize neighborhoods

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Nevada Senator Harry Reid today announced that more than $4.5 million dollars from the economic recovery package is headed to Nevada for community and economic development. These grants from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development will benefit Nevadans in Carson City, Clark County, Henderson, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Reno, and Sparks.

“This is a crucial part of the economic recovery act designed to bring long-term, sustainable growth to Nevada’s economy and communities,” said Reid. “I’m pleased to partner with Secretary Donovan as we create jobs and work to revitalize communities across Nevada”
