Washington, D.C.- Nevada Senator Harry Reid issued the following statement one year following the tragic shooting at an IHOP Restaurant in Carson City:

“One year ago, Carson City experienced a terrible tragedy when a gunman open fired on innocent customers at an IHOP restaurant. Today, we take pause and remember the four Nevadans that lost their lives and others wounded by that senseless act of violence. Three members of the Nevada National Guard were among those that were killed. These citizen soldiers made significant personal sacrifices to keep our nation safe, and today we are reminded of their commitment to Nevada and their country. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this sad event, and I hope Carson City’s citizens can continue to heal together.”
