Funds headed to Desert Research Institute and University of Nevada Reno for environmental research and intelligent computing system September 15, 2009 Washington, D.C. — Nevada Senator Harry Reid today announced more than $1.2 million in economic recovery funding to support the development of state of the art scientific infrastructure in Nevada universities. Two awards from the National Science Foundation will support the development of a real-time atmospheric mercury sensor at the Desert Research Institute (DRI) and the creation of an intelligent computer system at University of Nevada Reno. # # #
