September 16, 2010 Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid today released the following statement in recognition of prisoners of war and those missing in action. "As the soldiers of our great state and nation continue to fight two wars to protect our freedom, we pause to honor those taken as prisoners of war and the more than 81,000 still missing in action. These brave service members, some of whom come from Nevada, have demonstrated heroism and never faltered despite the indescribable hardships they faced. The sacrifices of these Nevadans and the sacrifices of their loved ones will forever be remembered. My thoughts and appreciation go out to these warriors and the friends and families who miss them." # # #
