Money will fund programs focused on prevention and deterrence of drunk driving September 18, 2009 WASHINGTON, D.C.—Nevada Senators Harry Reid and John Ensign today announced more than $900,000 in funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to implement and enforce specific programs that will prevent and deter impaired driving on Nevada’s highways. Highway safety should be a focus of every city and this money is a step in the right direction,” said Sen. Ensign. “If we can make our highways safer while improving conditions for every driver than all Nevadans benefit in the end.”
