Washington, D.C. — Nevada Senator Harry Reid today made the following statement about Nevada’s 13.2 percent unemployment rate:

“My thoughts are with the Nevadans who continue to struggle to find work and make ends meet. Today’s unemployment rate underscores the importance of ensuring the state is doing everything it can to create jobs by putting the $2 billion in economic recovery funding  to work as quickly as possible. There is still a long road ahead toward full economic recovery, however, I will continue to do everything I can to strengthen our economy and create good-paying jobs in Nevada.”
