Senator Harry Reid meets with Elder Dallin H. Oaks and other leaders of the Church of Latter-Day Saints who are in Washington to present First Lady Michelle Obama with her family history. Washington, D.C. –Nevada Senator Harry Reid today met with Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the LDS Church’s Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. After the meeting Elder Oaks and Senator Reid visited the White House to present First Lady Michelle Obama with a volume of her family history. “Last year the church compiled several volumes for President Barack Obama,” said Senator Reid. “This year, I thank Elder Oaks for sharing our faith’s tradition of genealogical research with the First Lady and her family. This documentation of their lineage will be cherished and passed on for future generations. I am honored that the church can play a part in documenting the history of the First Family.”
