Senator Reid attends the Asian-American and Pacific Islander Summit with Nevada representatives Helen Hsueh and Rozita Lee. Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid today hosted the 2010 Asian-American and Pacific Islander Summit where he was met by Nevada representatives from the communityHelen Hsueh of the Las Vegas Chinese Daily News and Rozita Lee of the National Federation of Filipino American Associations. The summit celebrated Asian-American Pacific Islander Heritage Month by bringing together leaders from organizations across the country to discuss job creation and economic growth within Asian-American and Pacific-Islander communities. “I was pleased to welcome three Nevadans to today’s summit,” said Reid. “Helen Hsueh has been a leader in informing the Chinese-American community in Las Vegas through the Las Vegas Chinese Daily News. And Rozita Lee has represented Filipino interests and shared cultural experiences at both the local and national level. I remain committed to working with them to create new opportunities and industries that create jobs and help every Nevadan realize the American Dream.”
