Las Vegas and Reno locations are accepting appointments

June 28, 2010

Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid today announced that Bank of America will open their final two outreach centers today—one in Las Vegas and one in Reno—to help Nevada homeowners who are struggling to pay their mortgages and could potentially face foreclosure.  These are the second and third resource centers Bank of America has opened since Reid met with the bank’s Chief Executive Officer Brian Moynihan in May.  The first center was established in Henderson on June 1 and a hotline specifically for Nevada homeowners was also created earlier this month.

“I am glad to see Bank of America follow through with its promise to provide assistance for Nevadans who are struggling to stay above water,” Reid said.  “I met with Brian Moynihan in May, and so far he’s delivered on everything he promised me.  While one month of improved service is a good start, it’s not yet enough.  Bank of America must sustain its efforts as we emerge from the housing crisis that has devastated Nevada.”

“Bank of America has assisted more than 15,000 Nevada homeowners with completed loan modifications and we join Senator Reid in recognizing the ongoing need for these solutions and additional outreach, particularly in states so hard hit by continued recessionary conditions,” said Rebecca Mairone, default servicing executive for Bank of America Home Loans.

Nevada homeowners who are facing difficulty making their mortgage payments may call (877) 345-6416 to make an appointment at any of Bank of America’s three Nevada customer outreach centers, or to speak with a homeownership retention specialist about their account. The Nevada hotline is open between 5 a.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Friday. Appointments are available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., weekdays. The centers are not set up for walk-in consultations.

The new outreach center serving the Reno area is located at 695 Sierra Rose Dr. In Las Vegas, the center is located at 6900 Westcliff Dr. The Henderson center is at 2285 Corporate Circle, Suite 100.
