Reid Announces More Than $6.1 Million For Water Line Replacement In Mineral County

Funds will create numerous jobs replacing water lines that are over eighty years old

 Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid announced more than $6.1 million in economic recovery funding for water line replacement in Mineral County that will go towards creating or saving jobs at Hawthorne Utilities. Many of these water lines are over eighty years old.
                                    
“I’m pleased to announce this money that will create good jobs in Mineral County,” Reid said.  “These funds will be used to put Nevadans to work on a very important public health issue, as these water lines very much need to be replaced.”
