Reid Welcomes News Of High Rating For Clark County Shooting Park

Reid was instrumental in getting funding and land for nation’s finest shooting facility

August 13, 2010

Las Vegas, NV—Nevada Senator Harry Reid welcomed news today that the National Shooting Sports Foundation has awarded the Clark Country Shooting Park its highest rating of five stars, making the Clark County Park one of only 17 five-star facilities in the nation. Reid led the effort to secure the land and funding needed to build the 2,900-acre world-class shooting park. The new facility - which Senator Reid helped open earlier this year - will provide a safe place for people of all ages to learn about shooting sports.

“Shooting sports have always been an important part of Nevada’s western heritage so it makes sense that the National Shooting Sports Foundation would recognize the Clark County Shooting Park as a center of excellence,” said Reid. “This rating is a testament to the hard work of all those who helped bring this center to fruition and shows that the spirit of the Second Amendment is right on target in Nevada.”
