Las Vegas, NV – Nevada Senator Harry Reid today made the following statement on the news that Nevada will receive more than $43 million in funding through the third round of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program.
“I have had a number of conversations with Secretary Donovan about the need to do more to fight foreclosures and help Nevada recover from the housing crisis. These funds compliment the more than $130 million Nevada is getting through the Treasury’s 'Hardest Hit' fund. Now that Nevada has additional resources on the way, I urge the Treasury and the Nevada Housing Division to begin deploying funds as efficiently and expeditiously as possible so we can put Nevadans back in these homes and restore the value of our neighborhoods.”
Following is the breakdown of Neighborhood Stabilization Fund Round three funding that is coming to Nevada:
• Clark County / North Las Vegas - $20,253,261
• Las Vegas - $10,450,623
• State of Nevada - $5,000,000
• Henderson - $3,901,144
• Reno - $1,973,724
• Washoe County / Sparks - $1,735,918
