 Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid made the following statement today on the news that Senior Airman Michael J. Buras from Nellis Air Force base was killed this week in Afghanistan.

“I was saddened to learn that the fourth airman from Nellis Air Force Base was killed in action in Afghanistan this week.  Senior Airman Buras received the Purple Heart from injuries sustained during a previous deployment, but he didn’t let that stop him from serving his country.  Michael Buras represented his fellow airman from Nellis with dignity by serving our country with honor.  My thoughts go out Airman Buras’ family, friends and fellow airmen during this difficult time.”
