September 24, 2010 Washington D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid today announced that Nevada will receive more than $7.5 million in Department of Transportation funding to improve roadways, airport runways, and traffic safety programs. The North Las Vegas Airport will receive $3,559,639 to fund the rehabilitation of the west-side aircraft parking apron. The project will replace the rapidly deteriorating pavement and improve the marking, lighting, and drainage abilities of the airfield which have led to the advanced rate of deterioration.
