Health reform continues working for Nevada families, businesses

Washington, D.C.—Nevada Senator Harry Reid announced four new Nevada employers who are approved to participate in the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program. These employers join 14 others who will participate in the program which is designed to give financial relief to employers so that early retirees receive quality, affordable insurance. The Affordable Care Act is providing $5 billion nationwide to assist employers who maintain health care for early retirees who are age 55 or older.

 “I am delighted that these Nevada employers have been approved to be part of this important program for early retirees” Reid said. “This will mean continued quality health care for Nevada retirees while helping offset the cost to employers to provide health benefits for their workers.”
