Las Vegas, NV—Nevada Senator Harry Reid announced today that 17 Nevada therapeutic discovery projects will be awarded more than $3.1 million in tax credits through the Affordable Care Act to conduct research that will lead to breakthroughs in detection, prevention, and treatment of serious and chronic disease.  A full list of grantees is available here.

“I thank the Treasury and the Department of Health and Human Services for seeing the incredible potential of Nevada’s innovative biotechnology sector,” said Reid. “These companies are leading the way in discovering new therapies and treatments that will help our families prevent, detect, and cure serious medical conditions.
