Reid, Sandoval Meet To Discuss Challenges Facing Nevada

Senator Reid and Governor-Elect Brian Sandoval meet in Reid’s office to discuss important challenges facing Nevada.

Washington, D.C.—Nevada Senator Harry Reid and Governor-Elect Brian Sandoval met to discuss how they can work together to continue moving Nevada forward, create jobs and improve our state’s economy. Specific issues that were addressed include unemployment insurance and Medicaid funding, as well as ways to invest in clean energy and help Nevada families get back to work.
“Governor-Elect Sandoval and I had a good conversation about the challenges facing our state and the importance of looking beyond party lines and putting the needs of Nevadans first,” Reid said. “I thank him for coming to Washington to meet with me and I look forward to working with him to continue moving Nevada forward.”

“I asked to meet with Senator Reid to discuss the challenges and the opportunities Nevada faces moving forward, and I appreciate him taking the time to do so,” Sandoval said. “Our meeting today was a productive discussion about specific ways we can work together to improve Nevada’s economy. I look forward to continuing to work with Senator Reid.”
