Reid Statement On Increase Of Las Vegas Visitors

January 11, 2011

Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid today released the following statement on the news that November 2010 was the ninth consecutive month of growth for the number of visitors to Las Vegas.

“While there is still much work to be done, I am encouraged that our hard work attracting visitors and tourists to Las Vegas is paying off.  We must continue building on our past successes like lifting the government travel black list of Las Vegas and passing the Travel Promotion Act to create jobs and ensure that Nevada’s cities remain the top tourist destinations in the world.”

Senator Reid led passage of the Travel Promotion Act to promote America’s tourist destinations, like Las Vegas and Reno, to the world.  The Travel Promotion Act board is chaired by Nevadan Steve Cloobeck.
