Senator Reid stands with Governor Brian Sandoval and Senator Dean Heller at the weekly ‘Welcome to Washington’ Breakfast for Nevadans in the Capitol Building.
Washington, D.C.- Nevada Senator Harry Reid today was joined by Governor Brian Sandoval and Senator Dean Heller at Reid’s weekly ‘Welcome to Washington’ breakfast with Nevada constituents. The weekly event was the first that will be jointly hosted by Senators Reid and Heller.
“I was honored to be joined by Governor Sandoval and Senator Heller today at my constituent breakfast,” said Reid. “These gatherings are an opportunity to meet with Nevadans and work together for the good of our state. I look forward to holding these events with Dean in the future.”
Senator Reid has hosted the ‘Welcome to Washington’ breakfast for Nevada constituents since the late 1990s. Every Thursday that the Senate is in session, Nevadans visiting Washington D.C. are invited to a breakfast with Senator Reid. At the breakfast, Nevadans have a chance to talk with Senator Reid, ask any questions they may have, and take their picture with him. Senator Reid’s staff is also on hand to assist with any questions or problems Nevadans may have. Senator John Ensign co-hosted the breakfast with Senator Reid for a decade. Senator Dean Heller and Senator Reid now co-host the breakfast together.
