Funds will create jobs and help lower costs of energy bills

 Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid announced more than $1.9 million of economic recovery funding is headed to North Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Tribe of Paiute Indians of the Las Vegas Indian Colony, and the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes of the Duck Valley Reservation, for job creating renewable energy projects and to help lower the cost of energy bills.
                                  
“I’m pleased that two Nevada Indian Tribes and North Las Vegas are receiving this money to create green jobs and improve energy efficiency,” Reid said, “Everyone benefits when we can lower the cost of energy and put people to work at the same time.”
